I am really not sure which tall centerpiece we like more.  What are your thoughts of things that would work?  I do not mind dropping the votives off to the office.  I do have to get all the old candles out so it might take me a few days to do all that. What days are good days to drop them off?  I would have to drop them off after I leave work one day.

Hi Stephanie and Bart,
By votives I'm assuming you are talking about votive 'holders' and I think that's great! I would use no less than 3 per table and preferrably 5 to place around the centerpieces. Again I assume they're around 2"- 3" tall. If you don't have enough we can supplement with some of ours. I'd like to see a pic or perhaps you can drop them off. Or... I'm not sure where you live but I come down 83 to work so we could also meet and I could bring them to work for you if that would make it easier.

Both of the tall centerpieces you've shown here are beautiful though very different. It's easy enough to omit the twigs in the first one but tell me what you like about the second. Is it the vase, the Bells of Ireland (tall green flower) and which do you prefer?

I know we havent discussed finalized table decor.  Kristin just gave me a ton of votives that have been used in all the families weddings.  If we find  a use i have tons!

tall centerpiece ideas

Bart and I sat down and looked for some ideas of tall centerpieces.  Let me know your thoughts:

Bart likes the height of this one but he doesnt want twigs inside. (I like the twigs) but maybe this is a place where we can incorporate crystals or something shiny.  Bart also mentioned that he likes things that dangle down from the centerpieces.

I will look for more soon! Hope you are staying warm in all this snow!

crystals

I really like the first two ways that the crystals are used.  I also think the crystals in the corsages is a nice touch.  You come up with such great ideas!

Bouquet Crystals

Hi Stephanie. On the centerpiece sample, you didn’t mistype, I misread. (Oops) The centerpiece sample will stay as it is.

For the MOH bouquet we can make that slightly larger and use the crystals in her bouquet with the flowers like you suggested. I can also use a slightly different or totally different color ribbon. I guess it would all depend on how much you want her to stand out from the others. I think both would look good.

Now for the bouquet crystals. I’ve loaded some pictures to show some of the endless options with crystals. They are available now in all shapes and sizes so I’m just going to start with the basics.

These are Swarovski sprays which sorta look like flowers themselves.

Here the bouquet handle has been done with crystal pins that run up the center.

This is a simple treatment with the crystals placed in the center on the roses.

And finally here’s an example of a corsage with trailing crystals. I will start to post more corsage and boutonniere pictures next month as time seems to fly by. Is time flying by for you or does it seem like the wedding will never get here? Seems no matter what I do there's never enough time  =)
Have a great weekend!

Dulaney,
Oh I definetly think you guys need a raise!!!  I think either ribbon will work and I really am not particular about it.  I think both of those ribbons would look great.  I just love the pictures you posted with the vases with ribbons around them.  I may have mistyped Bart and I are not interested in making the centerpiece smaller.  It looked great!  We just want the second centerpiece to be larger and fuller than that one.  Oh and can we somehow incorporate the swarovski crystal look that is in my dress.  Its not that big of a deal if you think we have too much going on.  I am sorry for the confusion.  Is this workable?  What are your thoughts for the MOH bouquets?

Thanks for trying to get us a raise!

Hi Stephanie and Bart. I'm thrilled you all were happy with the samples. AND thanks tons for trying to get us a raise from Ralph. (((teee hee)))

Ribbon around the vases that will hold the bouquets? No problem. Do you have any particular ribbon in mind?

This one is called Tuxedo stripe. Comes in various widths, around 2" being the widest.

Here's a nice satin and sheer combo in lime green. A plain satin ribbon would also look just great!

As for making the sample centerpiece smaller, we can certainly do that. We have 4" cubes and I can scale it down if this is what you mean by making it smaller.

And about the other centerpiece, Bart stated you wanted it "taller and fuller". Do you still want to do large candles for this centerpiece? Do you want the black twigs in them for height. Just let me or Vicki know.
Cheers for now. Lane

The Tasting Was More than Yummy!

The flowers were gorgeous tonight.  All of us really like the bridesmaid bouquet.  I cant wait to take it to my bouquet to work tomorrow and make my classroom look so pretty.  I especially liked the detailed ribbon.  Can we put ribbon on the vases at the head table like in your last post?  I just loved it!

Bart and I also really liked the centerpieces.  Would these be the smaller centerpieces? We really liked it as the smaller centerpiece.  I loved the branches and the rocks.  It looks great on th black tablecloth.

Bart was giving his opinion (surprising) and he wanted the other centerpiece to be taller and fuller.  What were your thoughts for the other centerpiece?  Dulaney and Vicki,  both Bart and I are so impressed with all of your work.  Thanks for everything!!!!!

Oh and the linen looks great!  My dad thought it was wrinkled; he had no idea what he was talking about it was so funny!  The napkins looked great and I am just so pleased with everything!  Thanks again!!!!!

P.S. The food was great too!

Candle Centerpieces

Hi Stephanie. I have some candle arrangement pics for you to look at. Let me or Vicki know what you like and don’t like and we can move on from there.

But first you gave me a picture of a bouquet you like and the centerpiece above is the one they used with that bouquet. It has the ribbon treatment around the vase which you like. Just thought you might like to see it.

Above is a very simple but elegant arrangement using orchids and floating candles. We can scatter blooms around the base of this arrangement on the table and smaller votives as well. If you think you’ll need more light we can also place a mirror underneath to reflect the light and make the table a little brighter.

Here’s sorta the same thing except the candles are placed to the sides.

Above in blue can obviously be done in pink. Black stones could be used at the base with pink flowers placed inside.

You’ve probably seen these before. These are wine glasses with Rice paper shades. The shades can be customized in many ways. These can also be done in large and extra large sizes. Just an another FYI.

And this is to show you what could be done with colored water.

If any of these appeal to you I can re-work them to fit your style. I’ll be putting stuff together for next week so if there’s something you’d like to see please let me know and I’ll start getting it together. Hope you all had a great Holiday season and I look forward to seeing you soon.
